Toward the Integration of Communication and Management

C.D. Porterfield

-he University of Texas-San Antonio

Communication and management are disciplines with allied interests but they remain as yet unintegrated. Underlying this lack of integra tion are a number of obstacles or impediments which, unless resolved, will continue to stand in the way of further convergence of the two fields. The author identifies these impediments and then closes the article with several recommendations which will help circumvent the problems.
